Herts Interpreting & Translation Service (HITS) has joined with Cambridge Interpreting  & Translation Agency (Cintra), Norfolk Interpreting & Translation (INTRAN) and Suffolk Interpreting Project (TIP) to form the East of England Federation of Public Service Interpreting Agencies (we couldn't come up with a catchy acronym, so we dispensed with one).

The immediate purpose of the Federation is to implement and to oversee the delivery of the Opening Doors project throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. However, in the longer term, the Federation will also seek to draw up a region-wide marketing strategy for members and seek to promote public service interpreting to service providers.
