HITS to deliver face-to-face interpreting throughout Oxfordshire

 

HITS led consortium secures funding from East of England Development Agency

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

From June 1st, 2007, Herts Interpreting & Translation Service (HITS) will deliver face-to-face (bi-lingual) interpreting across the Health and Social Care sectors within Oxfordshire on behalf of the Oxfordshire NHS/Social Care partnership. 

The participating Trusts are Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health NHS Trust, Oxfordshire Learning Disabilities Trust, Social and Community Services Directorate (Oxfordshire County Council), Children, Young People and Families Directorate (Oxfordshire County Council), Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust.

Under the same agreement, telephone interpreting will be provided by Language Line Ltd and Communication Support Services for Deaf People by Deaf Direct Ltd.
