HITS has entered into a formal agreement to deliver language services on behalf of both Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Probation Trusts. The single contract, covering both separate Trusts, will include face-to-face interpreting (including British Sign Language), telephone interpreting and written translation. This contract will run for a minimum of three years. This particular contract constitutes a significant service development for HITS. It is our first formal entry into the Criminal Justice sector (notwithstanding a large number of solicitor practices among our current client base) and marks our first formal agreement with a statutory authority in Bedfordshire. It is envisaged that the bulk of the work will take place in the Trusts’ main offices in Watford, St Albans, Hertford, Stevenage, Luton and Bedford.
