A training centre of excellence
HITS is a training and examination centre for the internationally renowned Chartered Institute of Linguists. We provide award winning training to interpreters and people starting out as interpreters to the standards of the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) – the nationwide accepted standard for public service interpreting.
Our training courses allow HITS to train our own interpreters and so we are confident in the high quality of their skills and professionalism. Our introduction to public service interpreting courses provide an accessible entry point for new interpreters, ensuring every interpreter booked through HITS can provide you with the high quality standards you expect.
This means that interpreters provided by HITS are fluent and literate in both target languages, conversant with the specialist terminology across a wide range of public services and committed to the proprieties of public service interpreting (e.g. confidentiality and impartiality).
